Q. How is it justice to have a set of rules and treat everyone equally when life is inherently unfair? When some people have been dealt a worse hand in life than others? Of course, we do all have free will to follow or not follow rules accordingly. But on the other hand, there are things like inherited genes, unlucky circumstances that we can't control. These things can make it much more difficult for some to follow rules than others. With this in mind, how can we apply rules (no matter how good they are) uniformly to people and call that equality?

A. Just because life is unfair does not mean that the rules also have to be unfair. Would penalize a straight-A student because he gets better grades? Would you penalize an athlete because he can run faster than others? Would you penalize my children because I invest and plan on leaving them a inheritance?
